ABOUT Skunk: The Documentary

Skunk: The Documentary is a new documentary which will explore cannabis and its implications on UK mental health. We will follow patients as they fight against stigma to legally access a plant medicine high in THC to help them beat their mental health problems. Far from the headlines of skunk psychosis, millions of ordinary people consume cannabis to help their mental wellbeing. Skunk: The Documentary will tell their stories. Cannabis is not for everyone, we will meet the patients with a prescription who have had a negative experience and find out how the regulation of medical cannabis has impacted on their mental health.

HOW CAN I LEGALLY ACCESS MEDICINAL CANNABIS?

Patients will usually need to have tried two medications prior to accessing medicinal cannabis, however this is at the discretion of the prescribing clinic. You will need to submit a GP summary of care record before you are able to book a consultation with a private clinic.

There is no restriction in terms of conditions being treated and deciding on whether or not cannabis is right for you will be a personal choice, along with taking the advice of the prescribing clinic. Cannabis can manage all kinds of conditions, ranging from mental to physical health.
